Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Postlift. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you use Postlift for an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Postlift lets you draft, schedule and publish posts and threads on X, and review basic analytics. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by X Corp. Your use of X itself is governed by X's terms and policies.

The service is under active development. Some features may be labelled beta or experimental and may change or break without notice.

• You sign in with a one-time email link or a supported social provider. Keep access to your email secure.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your devices secure.
• Provide accurate information and use one account per person, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• Tell us promptly at hello@postlift.io if you suspect unauthorized use.

You authorize us through X's OAuth flow to publish the content you schedule. We store the resulting tokens encrypted and use them only to provide the service. You can disconnect X at any time in settings, which stops future publishing.

You remain responsible for complying with X's rules, including its automation and spam policies. We may pause publishing if X limits or blocks your account or our access.

You keep all rights to the content you create — drafts, posts, threads, images and alt text. To operate the service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and transmit your content, including publishing it to X when and as you direct.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to publish your content and that it is lawful. We may remove or refuse content if required by law or these Terms.

You agree not to use Postlift to:

• break any law or infringe anyone's rights, including intellectual property;
• send spam or run deceptive, manipulative or mass automation campaigns;
• post harassment, hate speech or content that sexualizes minors;
• impersonate people or organizations without authorization;
• upload malware or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service;
• scrape, reverse engineer or resell the service without our written agreement;
• evade usage limits, rate limits or security measures.

We may suspend accounts that violate this section.

Joining the waitlist is free. When we open access, the first 100 users can subscribe at the founding price of $29 per month, locked while the subscription stays active. After the founding spots are taken, the price for new subscribers is $39 per month. Prices are shown in the app and may change with reasonable advance notice.

When billing launches it will be handled by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Applicable taxes are added at checkout. Your mandatory consumer rights — including the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days — are unaffected, except where you ask us to start providing the digital service sooner.

Publishing happens through the X API, which is pay-per-use and applies its own rate limits. To keep the service fast and affordable, plans include monthly post limits and stricter limits on posts containing links, because links cost us significantly more. Limits are described in the app.

Posts may be delayed or fail if X is unavailable or rejects a post. Our queue retries automatically, and every failure is shown in your publishing log. We are not responsible for X's decisions about your content or account.

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may add, change or remove features, and we may perform maintenance. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may discontinue the service with reasonable notice where practicable.

The service — including its software, design, logos and the Postlift name — is owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the service under these Terms. You may not copy, modify or resell the service except as allowed by law.

You can stop using Postlift and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the service or other users — with notice where practicable. After termination your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Postlift helps you publish reliably, but we do not control X and we do not guarantee reach, followers, engagement or any specific results. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €50 if you have not paid us anything. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under mandatory law, including consumer rights and liability for intent or gross negligence.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [country], and disputes are resolved by the courts of [city], unless mandatory law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. For material changes we will give reasonable notice by email or in the app before they take effect; continued use after that means you accept the new Terms.
